Student Interns

Pradheeshan Coomaraswamy is a 1998 graduate of the University of the South with a BS degree in Computer Science. He worked full-time with the ITW during the 1998-1999 academic year. His assistance and expertise was invaluable in getting the ITW established. Currently he is employed by a web development firm in Bethesda, Maryland.

Doriana Basamakova, a 2001 Political Science and Russian graduate, also worked with the ITW as a full-time assistant.

Fahd Arshad has worked with the ITW since January of 1999. He assisted with the development of the Wasteland project and has since worked on a variety of other projects with faculty members. He helped develop an online tutorial and module to check philosophy essays and also redesigned the Philosophy Department webpage.

Dorrie Becker is a 1999 graduate of the University of the South. She spent two weeks working on a Forestry web project with Dr. Scott Torreano.

Richard Buntin is also a 1999 Sewanee graduate. During the January term of 1999 he worked with Dr. Bran Potter and Dr. Martin Knoll to develop a web site for two Geology courses.

Cole Cottrell graduated in 2001 with a French and English double major. She worked for the ITW on a redesign of the Humanities website and the English Deparment website.

Eugene Donev has worked extensively with the development of presentations for Dr. Doanld Huber in the Humanities program and also with Astronomy. He has also worked with Dr. Huber on the devlopment of web-based project on ancient Egypt.

Beth Downey worked with the ITW on a project for a new Music class, Music 111. She primarily worked with the production of Finale files and also with PhotoShop.

William Duncan, a Computer Science graduate worked with the ITW on several projects. He focused on the use of Perl and cgi scripting in the Philosophy essay module development.

George S. Georgiev assisted Dr. James Davidheiser with the creation of the Advanced German Conversation and Problem Solving web site in January. 

Hilary Hargrove worked for two weeks early in the summer of 1999 with Dr. Ken Smith on the development of course web sites for Dr. Smith's Forestry courses.

Josh Morris used Perl to develop Pre-lab and Pre-class exercises for Chemistry 101 and 102 taught by Dr. John Bordley in the Chemistry Department.

Rachel Nance, a 2000 graduate, assisted Pradip Malde in the development of a class web site in Photography on Platinum Palladium printing. Rachel also worked for the Technology Resource Center in the Academic Technology Center.

Mahvash Nazir has worked with several ITW projects including the Humanities program and the development of the Women's Studies website.

Andrew Ngau worked with Dr. John Willis on a class web site for Reconstructing the South and is currently working on an interactive quiz database for online tutorials and review. He also redesigned the Forestry and Geology Department website and a variety of other web sites.

David Rose, a 2001 graduate, worked with the ITW on the Environmental Studies website and the Sewanee Herbarium website.

Jonathan Shehee is a 1999 graduate of the University of the South in Fine Arts and English. During the summer of 1999, Jon assisted in the redesign of the Humanities web site and created a Senior Philosophy Essays site.

Raghav Virmani, an Economics major, has worked with the ITW on a wide variety of projects including a redesign of the Economics Department website.
